Growing From a Local PR Agency Into an International Communications Firm
In 1946, Al Fleishman and Bob Hillard tapped out the beginnings of a communications business on their manual typewriters in St. Louis, Missouri. From the company's inception, Fleishman's and Hillard's top priority was a commitment to their clients and to excellence — a promise their company continues to keep today.
For the next two decades, the firm served clients mostly in their region, until 1974 when John Graham was named president. Graham transformed Fleishman-Hillard from a regional company into a leading, prestigious global communications firm with offices on six continents.
In July 2006, Graham named Dave Senay as the firm's president and CEO. Senay, a 23-year Fleishman-Hillard veteran, is only the third CEO in the firm's history. Graham continues to serve as chairman of Fleishman-Hillard and will lead the newly created Office of the Chairman.
Our firm has grown from a single office to one of the world's leading agencies through a well-managed program of organic growth and strategic acquisitions, and by providing an unsurpassed level of client service. Today, the firm serves clients from 80 owned offices throughout North America, Europe, Asia Pacific, the Middle East, South Africa, and Latin America. The Fleishman-Hillard network also includes some of the premier public relations and advertising brands in the industry, including Allyn & Company, Avant Strategic Communications, Blue Current, CCW (Communications Consulting Worldwide), GMMB, iStudio, Lois Paul & Partners, The Remedy, Strat@comm, and VOX Global Mandate.
